We like books. We like that they are portable and that they contain information. We also like them because we enjoy the different ways that authors use language to tell stories. We like the imaginative landscapes they create. We like that some of them are very old and they are as true today as they were hundreds of years ago.

Bah! Blogger Envy! LOVE the Bookstore Avatars. What a cute idea! I have a hankering to make my own.
Also love that Tom's has a moustache.

You can export them as jpegs and have them do whatever you want!
I love you favorite book selections. I have read many of them and agree with you that they are terrific. Am encouraged by our mutual taste in books to try reading the other titles on your list.
Two exceptions, however, on your list Tom. I think David Copperfield is one of my least favorite Dickens works. I'm more of a Great Expectations kind of gal. Also, didn't care for Atlas Shrugged. I thought it needed editing.
Hi Bonnie,
David Copperfield is the only one of Dickens' big honkers that I have read. I've failed to read Martin Chuzzlewit over the holidays six years in a row. Which reminds me...maybe this is the year?
I skipped through some of the more ridiculously meandering sections of Atlas Shrugged. Its a wacky book. Do yourself a favor and browse through this Objectivist Dating Site, though. Its awesome.
